This is a
slightly sweet and spicy red sauce. The lime juice tends to give it a clean flavor, and
seems to accentuate the honey. If you prefer a darker taste in a BBQ sauce, replace the
lime juice with 3 tablespoons each of cider vinegar and molasses.
If you cannot find ground Ancho pepper, you could
substitute chile powder. However, chili powder also contains salt and cumin in addition to
the ancho, so don't add any more salt. The cumin in the chile powder will also give the
sauce a kind of southwestern taste.

Makes about 2 cups of sauce.

1) Combine all ingredients in
a saucepan or microwave bowl.
2) Simmer for a few minutes to fully dissolve the honey.
